Then some quotes to get us in the mood.
"It's not that there is a cannon on the playground.
It is that the children have found the shells!"
“That which is not dead can eternal lie, and strange eons go by even death may die.” - H. P. Lovecraft
“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all of its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.” - H. P. Lovecraft

Updated!!!!

War
Here are some quotes that kinda show my feeling about the current situation.
War is Hell.
I have been thinking about those poor SOB's down at camp X-Ray. And this quote sprung to mind.
"In Germany,
they first came for the communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a
communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a
Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I
wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I didn't speak up
because I wasn't a Catholic. Then they came for me -- and by that time there was
nobody left to speak up."
-Martin
Niemöller
And I just wonder what is going on with them. The last news I heard was that they were starting to kill themselves. The paranoid in me says hey that might be a cover-up for something else. Another part of me says that that its self might be the cover-up. I mean when was the last time you heard about it? They round all these people up after Sept. 11 and never release them, and never really tell us what is going on with them. The newspaper article I saw where they were killing themselves was way back in the back of the newspaper. And was about three lines. I mean these were some Americans and others they gather up and we never here from again and yet no one seems to be that upset about. I read Dreamcatcher awhile back and in it they gather up all the infected people. Then kill them but the story they let get out is that they have just moved them to a remote facility, and are monitoring their progress against the disease. After a while they planned on burying out in the newspapers a few stories about the infected people losing the battle with infection, and making seem like a merciful thing that they died. Sounds familiar don't it? But people say that can't happen in America No not America. How many people did we gather up during WW2 huh into our own concentration camps? It's there it's all there in the history books. Wonder how long it will be before they start burning books. It seems to me to be kinda a outreach of the NIMBY phenomenon. (Not In My Backyard). Can't happen here. Oh you want to build something that will help people but has kinda a negative connotation such as a Atomic power plan or prison well NIMBY. see. Can't happen here.
They found some Chemical suits and never gas antidote. And there was much rejoicing in the valley.
the part of the army will be played by black.
I will attempt to play the part of a rational human being.
Hey we are vindicated. We haven't found weapons but these suits and antidote mean that they were planning on releasing Death clouds upon us at any min.
Don't you carry Chemical suits and have antidote on hand for everyone and then some in you army?
What do you mean don't we have suits and antidote? Of course we have suits and antidote they plan on releasing Death Clouds upon us at any moment.
Couldn't the Iraqs be thinking the same thing. The suits were found at a Hospital and weren't there only about 300 of them, and you didn't and still havn't found any weapons of mass destruction have you?
Why do you hate America so much?
Sounds familiar doesn't it.
now for our next installment of "As the War Goes On"
Hey look everyone we finally got him.
What do you mean you finally got him got who?
The Head bad duck Osama .. I mean Saddam. You know the guy who caused Sept. 11 and the really bad weather we have been having and the real reason they cancelled Sienfield and the single cause of everything bad that has ever happened in your life. We finally got him he was in the building we blew up. Yeah!
Wasn't Osma behind Sept. 11 and all that. And how long have you been after Osama and yet nothing.
Osma isn't the problem Saddam is the problem and we got him he was in that building we blew up.
Which building?
That one right over there that we just blew up.
You are blowing building up a city block at a time and you want me to be able to distingush one pile of rubble from another?
Of course it is easy. The building he was in was one left over from the early 1400's as you could tell by the articulating carved abuttments around the roof. Notice on these stills here taken from the camera on the missile see how the stonework is precisly laid. You just can't that type of craftmanship outside the later 1600's. The other buildings were of later periods as could be told by the lack of craftmanship used in the setting of the blocks. So they would have to have been built after 1600's.
Wow! So where is the body?
What?
Where is the Body? You need to drag it out here so that we can hook it to the back of a hummer and drag it through the rubble strewn streets like I know you are dying to.
Well we need to wait to extract the remains.
Why it's a pile of rubble. No one could have survived that. Go in there and get the body.
We have to wait to get it.
He isn't in there is he?
What? Of course he is in there. We were told by some of our best people that he was in there.
So you blew up the block. And told the world you got him and you havn't. Do you?
Well we were told that he was in that particular building so we blew it up and if he was in there he would be dead at this time.
Which is a roundabout way of saying that you didn't get him. Isn't it?
Why do you hate America so much?
Sounds familiar doesn't it.
People always say I get more out of the paper than anyone else. I laugh all through it, usually. I don't read the main articles. I look for the stuff they bury. I also like to read the Op-Ed pages and the comics. I was reading in it the other day and I saw something about the Women in Black who protest the war. Here is there website. This website talks about how it was started after Sept. 11 and how they wear black to protest. They gather together once a week or once a day depending on were they are and stand in silent vigil for a period of time. Some carry signs, others don't. They stand in protest. They don't yell or cause much racket they just stand in silent vigil. I really admire that. But, it got me thinking about the idea of Women in Black and that got me thinking about the Man in Black so here it is the lyrics to the old Johnny Cash song "The Man in Black" :
Well, you wonder why I always dress in black,
Why you never see bright colors on my back,
And why does my appearance seem to have a somber tone.
Well, there's a reason for the things that I have on.
I wear the black for the poor and the beaten down,
Livin' in the hopeless, hungry side of town,
I wear it for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime,
But is there because he's a victim of the times.
I wear the black for those who never read,
Or listened to the words that Jesus said,
About the road to happiness through love and charity,
Why, you'd think He's talking straight to you and me.
Well, we're doin' mighty fine, I do suppose,
In our streak of lightnin' cars and fancy clothes,
But just so we're reminded of the ones who are held back,
Up front there ought 'a be a Man In Black.
I wear it for the sick and lonely old,
For the reckless ones whose bad trip left them cold,
I wear the black in mournin' for the lives that could have been,
Each week we lose a hundred fine young men.
And, I wear it for the thousands who have died,
Believen' that the Lord was on their side,
I wear it for another hundred thousand who have died,
Believen' that we all were on their side.
Well, there's things that never will be right I know,
And things need changin' everywhere you go,
But 'til we start to make a move to make a few things right,
You'll never see me wear a suit of white.
Ah, I'd love to wear a rainbow every day,
And tell the world that everything's OK,
But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back,
'Till things are brighter, I'm the Man In Black.
that's a good song.
I will probability be seein' ya'll later.

Hello again genties and ladlemen, it is I Morty and I have just returned from the void that is my mind when I get a new toy. As Marty has told you I just joined the ranks of PS2 owners in the world, and have become entranced by the neat colors and flashing lights. I have tried a few games, but want to look at more. I enjoyed Gran Tourismo 3, but hated Midnight Club (it was a problem with my odd shaped hands getting used to the controls). I bought Cabela’s Big Game Hunter, it is almost all that I do now. Me and my wife tried The Sims for PS2, and it is on it’s way to the house as we speak. If any of you have suggestions drop me a line at [email protected].
The thing that has been taking up what is left of my time has been Icewind Dale 2 for PC. If you like D&D check it out….’nuff said.
Thank You and Goodnight (bow).
